1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Lookism mobile application and related services (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). The Service is operated by a company registered in France (“Lookism,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Description of Service

Lookism provides an AI-powered facial analysis service that generates numerical ratings, feature assessments, and personalized improvement suggestions based on photographs you submit. The Service includes:

• Facial symmetry and proportionality analysis
• A PSL (Perceived Sexual Attractiveness Level) score
• Personalized improvement plans covering lifestyle factors
• Progress tracking and daily task management

4. Important Disclaimers

4.1 Not Medical or Scientific Advice

The Service is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. The ratings, scores, and recommendations generated by the Service:

• Are not medical diagnoses and should not be treated as medical advice
• Are not peer-reviewed scientific assessments
• Should not be used as a basis for medical decisions, including but not limited to cosmetic surgery
• May not reflect your actual appearance as perceived by others

Always consult qualified healthcare professionals before making health or appearance-related decisions.

4.2 No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee that following any improvement plan will produce specific results. Individual outcomes vary based on genetics, effort, consistency, and many other factors beyond our control.

4.3 Non-Discriminatory Purpose

Lookism is designed as a self-improvement tool. The Service is not intended to rank, classify, or discriminate against any individual or group based on appearance, race, ethnicity, gender, or any protected characteristic. The ratings provided are relative assessments of facial symmetry and proportionality only.

5. Account and Authentication

To access certain features, you must create an account using your email address. We use passwordless authentication — you will receive a one-time verification code via email each time you sign in. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email account.

6. Payments and Refunds

The Service offers both free and premium features. Premium features require a one-time payment processed through Stripe. Payments may be made via credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.

• All prices are listed in USD and include applicable taxes.
• Premium access is a one-time purchase and does not auto-renew.
• Refund requests may be submitted within 14 days of purchase to support@lookism.xyz. Refunds are granted at our discretion in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
• EU/EEA users: You have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive. If you have already used the Service, you acknowledge that you may lose this right upon beginning use of digital content.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Upload photographs of other people without their explicit consent
• Use the Service to harass, bully, or demean any individual
• Share or distribute another person’s scan results without their consent
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent payment requirements or rate limits

8. Intellectual Property

All content, algorithms, designs, and technology comprising the Service are owned by Lookism and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

You retain ownership of any photographs you submit. By submitting a photograph, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process it solely for the purpose of generating your analysis. This license terminates immediately upon completion of the analysis.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lookism shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Any loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Emotional distress or psychological harm arising from the use of the Service or reliance on its outputs
• Decisions made based on the Service’s ratings or recommendations

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Lookism harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by visiting our account deletion page or contacting support@lookism.xyz.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. For EU/EEA consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply where they provide greater protection.

Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unsuccessful, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, France, subject to any mandatory jurisdiction rules that may apply in your country of residence.

EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email with at least 30 days’ notice. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
